นิทรรศการ ‘ความสุขของแสง’ The Light Of Day ศิลปิน อุทิศ เหมะมูล จัดแสดงวันที่ 1 เมษายน – 20 พฤษภาคม 2562

The Jam Factory Gallery นำเสนอนิทรรศการภาพวาดโดยศิลปิน อุทิศ เหมะมูล ที่เรารู้จักเขาในฐานะนักเขียนรางวัลซีไรต์ ปี 2552 และนักเขียนรางวัลศิลปาธร ปี 2561 นอกจากผลงานด้านวรรณกรรมแล้ว อุทิศยังหลงใหลการวาดภาพอีกด้วย นิทรรศการ ‘ความสุขของแสง’ The Light of Day ได้รวบรวมผลงานจิตรกรรมไว้มากถึง 40 ผลงาน

The Jam Factory Gallery presents a collection of paintings by Uthis Haemamool, the renowned S.E.A. Write Award winner in 2009 and Silpatorn Award winner in 2018. In addition to literatures, Uthis has a passionate interest in drawing. The exhibition ‘The Light of Day’ features as many as 40 pieces of his paintings.

“เมื่อกิจกรรมชีวิตประจำวันในพื้นที่ส่วนตัว กลายมาเป็นความงามที่ถูกแสงและเงาอาบไล้จนเปลือยเปล่า”

ผลงานชุดนี้นำเสนอสถานที่ส่วนตัว พื้นที่ในความทรงจำ ที่ถูกเปิดเผยและเปลือยออกผ่านแสง ซึ่งจับสัมผัสไปยังวัตถุ สถานที่ ทิวทัศน์ และเรือนร่าง จนก่อเกิดเป็นอากาศ บรรยากาศที่ทั้งลึกลับ เย้ายวน และเป็นส่วนตัว เผยแสดงตัวตนของพื้นที่ทรงจำภายในใจ ออกมาสู่พื้นที่ด้านนอก หรือพื้นที่สาธารณะ นัยยะของความเป็นพื้นที่สาธารณะก็คือแสง ซึ่งอาบไล้และสาดส่องเข้ามาในพื้นที่ส่วนตัวในภาพวาด

His collection presents the way personal space from his memory was barely exposed by light, which contacted objects, places, scenery and bodies and evaporated them into air. Mysterious, seductive and private ambience publicised such places of memory from the inside out. The implication of being pubic space is the light, which caressed and shone through personal space in his paintings.

When private everyday activities turned into a beauty which was caressed and eventually exposed by light and shadow.

นิทรรศการนี้เป็นการแสดงผลงานเดี่ยวครั้งที่ 2 ของอุทิศ หลังจากห่างหายไปเกือบ 2 ปี จากนิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งแรก ‘ร่างของปรารถนา’ ที่ Artist+Run Gallery
